I want my child to stay in shape but he/she is not interested in organized sports, is Natick Youth Fit the right place?
Of course! We will work with children at any level of fitness and with a variety of future goals for their physical and mental health. NYF is great because you don't have to be an athlete to participate! Girls and boys alike, NYF is an awesome place for all adolescents to boost their confidence and feel a sense of being part of a team for those who struggle with organized team sports.
Our classes are designed to suit all fitness levels and we offer private/semi private training if your child is looking for a more personal and focused workout. All members of the NYF Squad are treated equally whether they are the most athletic or the least. We emphasize kindness and community, being proud of who you are and treating others how you want to be treated always.
My child is a athlete and wants to maximize their fundamental skills to enhance their sports performance, is NYF a good fit for them?
Most definitely! Our group classes are designed for athletes and non-athletes just the same. The goal is to keep each child in the best shape they can be. If your child needs sports specific training such as agility, strength, speed, power, endurance, etc, we also offer sports team training either individually or as a team (Call for more information)!!
Can my child bring a friend to class?
ABSOLUTELY!! We encourage our students to bring a friend with them, since working out with friends is way more fun! If your child's friend signs up for a monthly membership we will provide you with a free class!!
How is Natick Youth Fit unique?
Gym class and organized sports are the only instructional physical fitness opportunities for our youth. NYF offers any child the fundamental skills, techniques and effective exercise routines they need to stay interested in regularly working out as well as understanding concepts pertaining to the importance of a healthy lifestyle at a young age. Natick Youth Fit's 60 min classes provide individual grow at their own pace while interacting and learning from their peers in a social group class setting! Every child is guaranteed to improve their fitness level while improving their self awareness and self esteem!
How will my child stay interested?
Although we can't promise every adolescent will love what we do, we are confident 95% of them will! Each 60 min class is hard work that we cover up with loud music, fun and challenging exercise routines and a friendly positive atmosphere! When the class is over most kids are bummed time is up and don't want to leave :) Parents love that their children found something to be passionate about and can share that with others who do also!
What should my child bring to class?
Please send your child with a water bottle. Sneakers are not necessary as they are removed prior to the start of class & socks are optional.
How old does my child have to be to participate?
Currently our fitness programs are designed for children 5 - 18 years old. We all have to start somewhere and no one is perfect right away which is what makes Natick Youth Fit awesome. Children progress at their own pace whether they begin at 5 or 15 years old. They will get proper instruction teaching them fundamentals and technique and grow from there!
